Dr. Shams Siddiqi is President of Crescent Power, Inc., and is a key designer of the retail deregulated ERCOT market with over 25 years experience related to electricity markets.He designed most of the advanced features of the Texas Nodal Market including the Day-Ahead Market with Congestion Revenue Rights, energy and Ancillary Service co-optimization, Texas Two-Step mitigation in Security Constrained Economic Dispatch, Constraint Competitiveness Test, and mitigation methods in the various ERCOT-run markets.

Dr. Siddiqi has extensive experience contracting power purchase agreements, analyzing transmission congestion related risk, forecasting prices at various locations and generation patterns, valuing generation assets, and providing expert testimony of these topics. He managed the power portfolio and negotiated contracts for the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) for over 12 years. Prior to joining the LCRA, he worked as Research Associate at the Center for Energy Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Siddiqi received the B. S. degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology in 1988 and the M. S. and Ph. D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin in 1989 and 1993, respectively. He has published numerous refereed papers in the IEEE Transactions on Power Systems and has made significant contributions to field of Power Economics.

Mr. Frank McCamant, MBA, is the Vice President of Asset Development at Crescent Power, Inc. and has been building strong and effective relationships in the energy resource management and smart grid industry for more than 34 years. Mr. McCamant led several key business development projects for both generation and transmission, which provided valuable assets for the Lower Colorado River Authority (LCRA) under a private/public joint ownership framework.

Since launching McCamant Consulting LLC, Mr. McCamant has been working with utility and private business clients to successfully implement both smart grid and power development projects, in addition to managing power supply acquisition and strategic resource planning efforts. Mr. McCamant serves on the board of The Arc of the Capital Area, is the Chair of the Texas Council on Autism & PDD, and served on the board of Consert, Inc.

Mr. McCamant holds both a B.S. in Civil Engineering and an Executive MBA from the University of Texas at Austin and is a registered engineer in Texas.

Ms. Stacey Woodard is the Vice President of Energy and Fuels Operations at Crescent Power, Inc. She has over 18 years of experience operating in energy and fuel markets. She has extensive knowledge in scheduling entity and generation operations as well as natural gas and coal procurement and logistics. Ms. Woodard is also well versed in compliance issues facing these market participants. During her time with LCRA and Austin Energy, Stacey was responsible for managing diverse portfolios of natural gas, coal, nuclear, hydro and wind resources as well as load resources and many wholesale load contracts.

Although she has accomplished a great deal in her career, one accomplishment she is most proud of is her capabilities in working with and leading people. Ms. Woodard knows first-hand that building a team of successful, productive team members starts with leadership. She works with several groups, both personally and professionally, as a mentor to leaders and managers.

Ms. Woodard holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas at San Antonio.

Mr. Dean Tuel is the Vice President of Business Development at Crescent Power, Inc. with over 23 years of experience in the European and North American energy industry. He has extensive experience with expanding companies into new markets and new technologies. He has specific expertise in power deal origination, renewables, asset acquisitions, and management of commercial operations. Dean’s recent appointments include Vice President of Business Development at Xtreme Power, Vice President of Energy Marketing at E.ON Climate & Renewables North America, Sr. Director of Energy Marketing at West Energy, Sr. Director of Business Development and Origination at Cargill Power Markets.

Mr. Tuel has extensive experience in origination & energy management area including oversight of commercial operations and negotiations of various agreements. His specific experience include (a) negotiating and closing QSE agreements (b) negotiating and closing multi-billion dollar transactions for physical asset and structured products.

Mr. Andre Lima,a strategic partner in project development, is the founder of EnergyTrends Consultores (ETC) and S001 Engineering and has more than 18 years of experience in the energy sector, having worked in the Brazilian and US markets. His experience includes management consulting, market and regulatory analysis, M&A advisory, project development, energy risk management and simulation. As an entrepreneur, he helped in the creation of DZ Negocios and iX Consultores (engineering firm). He has served clients such as Petrobras, Duke Energy, Oil M&S, Eletropaulo, Promon, WestLB, to develop and evaluate projects and regulatory issues. As a director at DZ Negocios, he led teams responsible for valuation and due diligence of large acquisitions. Prior to DZ, he was a senior associate with McKinsey & Co and served clients in the energy, pharmaceutical, telecommunications, agrochemical and bank sectors.

Mr. Lima worked at the Fuels and Risk Management Department of the Lower Colorado River Authority in Austin, Texas, where he was responsible for the analysis of mid- and long-term electricity purchases. He also worked at Technoplan Consultores and as a researcher at the Universidade de São Paulo. He took graduate courses in electricity, mineral resources and financial planning at University of Texas in Austin. He has an M.Sc. degree in Energy Planning from the University of São Paulo and a B.Sc. degree in Aeronautical Mechanical Engineering from the InstitutoTecnológico de Aeronáutica. He is fluent in Portuguese and English.

Mr. Bruno Moraes, a strategic partner in project development, is a partner in ETC and has more than eleven years of experience in management consulting, including energy and gas, oil, and telecommunication sectors in Brazil, Latin America and Europe. Mr. Moraes has been involved in S001 since the early stages. Before joining ETC, he worked with Bain & Company and was an Associate Principal with McKinsey & Company in Brazil and Germany where he worked for almost nine years. During his consulting career, he led projects in development and implementation of corporate, commercial and product strategy, design and implementation of operational improvement programs, development of new businesses and post-merger management.

Mr. Moraes is a Mechanical Engineer from the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Belo Horizonte, and received a Gold Medal for graduating with the highest grade in 1997 School of Engineering class. He is fluent in English and Portuguese, has good working knowledge of Spanish and basic knowledge of German and Finnish.

Dr. Roberto Hukai, a strategic partner in project development, has almost 40 years of experience in the energy industry, including large project development and coordination, strategic asset planning, and consulting.Dr. Hukai has served large companies and institutions such as CESP, Enron South America, Black &Veatch International-Technoplan, and governmental agencies such as National Nuclear Energy Commission –CNEN, Institute for Energy and Nuclear Research – IPEN, coordinating complex projects and large teams. Dr.Hukai had direct responsibilities for the development of more than 2,500 MW of thermal power plants, 3,200 km of pipelines, and a number of renewable energy projects.

As a consultant, Dr. Hukai served, amongst others, The World Bank, Ecopetrol, USTDA, USAID, OLADE, Mobil, Enron, Cemig, BHP, Comgas, Gas de France, and MPX.Dr. Hukai is a professor of the Graduate School of the University of Sao Paulo, where he has supervised more than 60 dissertations and thesis, and published more than 100 papers on energy matters. For his achievements he has received several awards and fellowships including the Rockefeller Foundation Fellowship, International Atomic Energy Fellowship, Pan American Fellowship, General Electric Award in Nuclear Engineering (best student MIT, 1968), and Visiting Scholar at the MIT’s Institute of International Studies. He has been a professor at the University of Sao Paulo since 1972. Dr. Hukai has a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from MIT, a M.Sc. Degree in Engineering from the Instituto Tecnologico de Aeronáutica (ITA), and a B.Sc. in Physics from the University of Sao Paulo. He has also attended project management courses at Vanderbilt and at the Kellog School of Industrial Management, Northwestern University. Dr. Hukai is fluent in Portuguese, English and Spanish, and has working fluency in Japanese and French.
